I had the amazing opportunity of attending the India Retreat in 2018 and I can honestly say it changed the course of my life. At that time, I was brand new to the world of yoga but I quickly learned from Claire and the Lighthouse community that I was always right on time and that yoga is for everyone. Being able to spend a week at the Sattva Summit, in the foothills of the Himalayas, I discovered yoga as it has been taught by the Masters, learning the tools and technologies which propel each of us on our spiritual journey to fulfill our greatest potential. My experience at the Summit was so transformative, that I decided to return and complete my teacher training in India. The retreat is an immersive introduction into the world of yoga and India, and Claire is an amazing mentor, teacher and guide throughout the whole experience. If you seek to grow exponentially, transform your life and learn yoga straight from its source do not hesitate to take the leap and attend the India Retreat!

What led me to India was I wanted to experience more out of the practice, to see, to feel and to learn more. It is called the land of yoga and I can definitely see why. The people are so kind and grateful for what they have and don’t have. I learned that we in the west do not appreciate the simple things in life and stress things that should never even be stressed. We take the little things for granted and yet there is so much to have grateful heart for, from the abundance of food, the luxuries of having hot and clean water and just being grateful to be “alive”. We have forgotten what a blessing it is just to be able to wake up and take another breath from this beautiful world we live in. I practiced with different master teachers and my deepest connection is with her. Being guided by Claire as a teacher I can feel what she is trying to teach. I have gained a greater appreciation of those around me, the world and myself. India was a truly a reminder of what we have forgotten.
